This YouTube video spotlight is made possible by two long-time WFC members. A few months back, member Clickster sent his pup off for training to another member, Cornbread. A good Retriever Trainer will provide reports on the dogs progress to the owner but very few would ever take the time to provide a well edited video report of the dog's first real hunt. The video footage features a mix of fixed, hand-held and gun-cam cuts, with a rockin' soundtrack. Miss Shelby, the star of the show, performs very well on her first day in the field and you can almost hear her yelling, "Hey dad, look at me! I'm hunting."

Liberal Regulations and Two Pintail Limit Recommended by Flyway Council
:::: California Waterfowl is excited to announce that “liberal” waterfowl regulations have been recommended by the Pacific Flyway Council, including a TWO Pintail limit, for the 2009-2010 hunting season. Over a year ago, California Waterfowl directors, staff and waterfowl scientists met with Paul Schmidt, USFWS Assistant Director, to voice their concerns regarding restrictive regulations for pintail. Thanks to a lot of hard work, great partnerships, and a little cold weather, California's waterfowl hunters will be reaping the benefits with more pintail in the bag.
